A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF YATES CENTER, KANSAS FROM THE PROVISIONS OF THE AGGREGATE TAX LEVY LIMITATIONS ACT, K.S.A. 79-5001 THROUGH 79-5037 AND ALL AMENDMENTS THERETO, RELATING TO THE LIMITATION OF TAX LEVIES UPON TANGIBLE PROPERTIES.

Section 1. That the City of Yates Center, Kansas, by authority of Article 12, Section 5 of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, hereby elects to exempt itself and make inapplicable to it the Kansas Aggregate Tax Limitations Act, K.S.A. 79-5001 through 79-5037 and all amendments thereto, which apply to said city, but which provisions thereof do not apply uniformly to all cities, and to provide substitute and additional provisions on the same subject.

Section 2. That from and after the date that this Charter Ordinance takes effect there shall be no legal limit upon the Aggregate Tax Levy upon tangible property assessed in the City of Yates Center, Kansas, excluding levies specified in K.S.A. 79-5011.
